Asteride

A space creature in my game! This is called an Asteride–a space-traversing predator that attaches itself to asteroids and uses its long tongue to scour the asteroid holes for creatures and mites to eat. Once prey is found, the claws at the end of the tongue grab onto it and whisk the prey up to the Asteride’s mouth, where its long teeth go in for the kill. The patterns on the Asteride allow it to blend into the surfaces of the asteroid when attatched and then appear a part of the background of space when prey look at it from below.
